This week was super fun but it also had a mixture of harder work. This week we had Noah's birthday and people from Hawaiʻi got to celebrate it together at Domo Sushi Valby. It was a Asian-Mix Barbeque restaurant that had sushi, cook-it-yourself KBBQ, and other Asian foods available. This was a great place to get food, if you are ever celebrating a birthday I would recommend going. They had great quality and the prices were on par with what you would get in Hawaiʻi.

Something really cute I noticed about restaurants in Copenhagen are that when people are celebrating their birthdays the staff give them a Danish flag to celebrate. It was so fun!

After celebrating Noah's birthday, a mutual friend studying in Madrid, Spain came to visit Copenhagen and I had the opportunity to show him around. We went to Buka Bakery in Strøget, and got some coffees and pastries to try. Afterwards, we took a stroll to Nyhavn and got to see the famous landmark in great weather. It was so beautiful that day and so many people were out to see the houses in bright color. We had a great time and he really enjoyed CPH!

The next day we met up again but unfortunately, due to me having exams I had to spend most of the time in the library. He also had many things to do for university so he ended up tagging along with me and Mia.

Exams were very demanding at this point so we stayed in the library until midnight.

He ended up leaving the next morning and my work on exams continued. At this point, we were in the last stretch. I went to the library to continue my work. If you need some places to study at or do work in CPH make sure to explore many of the options that CPH has to offer! Copenhagen does a great job of creating places for people to congregate and come together, so there are many places to visit while being there.

Here are some places you can consider to study at or visit in CPH!

  • Det Kgl. Bibliotek (beautiful place to study at, there is also a cafe in the library! By far one of my favorite places to go to because it is close to the water, and if you need a place to take a break it was nice to walk outside and enjoy the scenery)

  • Studenterhuset

  • Paludan Bog & Cafe

  • Copenhagen Business School Library

    • Very accessible, study rooms available, reading rooms, computer rooms, and nice couches to relax on. What I like studying about here is that during long haul sessions of studying/working, the canteen is available on school days so you don't need to worry about getting a good and nutritious meal. Aside from that the mall and outdoor food trucks are available so you have many options for meals.

  • PLADS23

    • A really nice cultural center that is great for studying in. This place is a great example of all of places that Denmark creates for communities to come together.

Here are some final photos of the week!

Thanks for reading!
